Jazz
has
always
been
a
major
part
of
DHS
Music. This
year,
we
have
a
full-fledged
Jazz
Improv
Group
that
meets
on
Tuesdays
after
school
from 3:20
to
4:30.
Listen
to
the
announcements
for
any
changes
in
the
schedule.
They
get
together
to
work
together
on
creating
pieces
from
nothing
but
a
melody.
Our
students
spend
a
lot
of
time
working
on
the
art
of
improvisation,
while
building
tight
ensemble
technique.
The Improv
Group
is
open
to
absolutely
any
instrumentation
and
grade
level.
Students
learn
that
working
on
improvisation
puts
their
knowledge
of
theory
to
work
in
an
exciting
way.
The
Jazz
improv
group
is
under
the
